eZ Introduced eZ XTEND

Friday 01. October 2010 - eZ Introduced eZ XTEND, the market place for professional applications made on top of eZ Publish Enterprise

Following on the heels of eZ Publish Enterprise 4.4, eZ Systems is restructuring its approach to third-party software developers in an effort to foster the innovation and creativity of the eZ Professional Community. The program, which will be dubbed eZ XTEND, is intended to replace and improve the program previously known as “eZ Publish Partner Certified Extensions.” The transitional period (October 2010) will feature an incentive program (detailed below) for third-party developers joining XTEND. eZ XTEND will make the lives of eZ Publish-based application developers easier in a number of ways:

making it easier than ever for third-party developers to participate
benefiting from better, simpler guidelines for contributors, and a clear certification process on the eZ Publish Enterprise platform.
delivering more marketing value to participants via the ez.no site, speaking engagements at conferences or via webinar, etc.
directly connecting prospective clients with application providers via XTEND.
application providers having the latitude to decide how they deliver their software and professional services, rather than following eZ subscription service conditions.
