Resumption of the production as a result of many customer requests

Monday 20. September 2010 - Relaunch of the panoRama 1540 jet for water-based inks

As the last provider of perforated window film Continental Grafix stopped in 2007 their production of films printable with water-based inks. The demands declined too much in favor of solvent solutions. The remaining requests could hardly be satisfied as the film for inkjet solutions was no longer economically justifiable. Moreover, the cumbersome and expensive coating process bound on high minimum order quantities and a disproportionate percentage refuse affected the price.

However, the demands never really stopped just as the efforts of Continental Grafix to find a satisfying solution. CGX wanted to provide an appropriate film to HP, Epson and all the other water-based printers. New film solutions and coating options that do not require a five-numbered running meter length, offer CGX now the possibility of relaunching the panoRama 1540 jet. Although, minimum order quantities are still required but on a justifiable basis.

The relaunched product is manufactured with the popular 1540 pattern consisting of a perforation in 1.50 mm and a 60% printable surface. These characteristics meet the requirements of the print technology and the water-based printers for printing strong, detailed and powerful images. The panoRama jet is equipped with a polyester liner, the ideal backside material for printer using water-based and pigmented inks. After the printing process the lamination of the film with the approved laminate panoRama Cast is recommended.
