Baco expands sales reach for chemical solutions

Thursday 12. August 2010 - Baco Chemical Services Ltd the developer of high performance chemical solutions for the printing industry with headquarters in Co. Galway, Ireland is delighted to announce that Martyn Elmy is to join as Director of Sales and Marketing based in the UK.

Rolf Basty, Chairman of Baco Chemical Services Ltd said “we have been looking for the right person to help us grow our international business, so when we learned that Martyn Elmy was available we moved very quickly to secure his services.”

Martyn Elmy a former Chairman of Picon, the association of manufacturers and suppliers to the UK printing industry, joins Baco Chemical Services with a fine reputation for building international sales at Centurfax (pre-press QC equipment), Russell-Webb (anti-set-off spray powder) and RW Coatings (water based coatings and UV curable varnishes) and over 35 years of experience in the printing industry.

The company was formed in 2007 in Ireland by German born Rolf Basty who has held senior positions with a number of international printing chemical manufactures. Baco develops and produces surfactants and additives for the production of printing chemicals for pre-press and press-room applications. Baco have used their experience to develop high performance chemical solutions for the printing industry including Fogra approved fountain solutions, blanket and roller washes. The printing chemicals, surfactant and additives of Baco are manufactured at plants in Switzerland and the Netherlands.
