EPG TO FEATURE KEYCOLOR COLOR CONTROL SOLUTIONS AT GRAPH EXPO 2010

Commercial and newspaper printers will find proven printing solutions that help save time and money by minimizing makeready time from EPG (Essex Products Group www.epg-inc.com) at Graph Expo 2010, October 3-6, booth #3561. The Connecticut-based manufacturer of KeyColor products will feature ink control, color measurement, presetting, and scanner interface systems. Show attendees will also learn how KeyColor technology can support a printing company’s sustainability initiative by significantly reducing paper and ink waste. On display will be the KeyColor C and KeyColor S ink desks. The KeyColor S, for smaller presses, will demonstrate one of several closed loop color options. Welas segmented ink blades will also be on display. In addition, EPG executives will explain the company’s AutoSet, AutoKey, and Adelphi systems used for presetting and closed loop color control. EPG’s state-of-the-art KeyColor Systems are integrated into original equipment by leading press manufacturers and installed worldwide as retrofits on commercial, newspaper, and packaging printing presses.

EPG’s position as a global single-source manufacturer has been enhanced recently by expanded product and service offerings. In July EPG announced a partnership with Welas (www.welas.fi ) Finland, naming EPG the exclusive distributor in the Americas of Welas segmented ink blades. Prior to that, EPG became the OEM of the color measurement and defect detection equipment developed by Apollo Systems, Inc. (www.apollo-systems.com ) Boxborough, Massachusetts. It also acquired the sole distribution rights to the products of Colortronix LLC (www.colortonix.com ) Hermon, Maine. Colortronix products are sold under the EPG Adelphi brand name. The KeyColor Adelphi systems now give printers with non-EPG ink control systems much more control capability. Adelphi AutoSet presets jobs from the prepress department and Adelphi AutoKey closes the loop between any color scanner and any ink control system.
