Minprint scores Northern Ireland first

Wednesday 28. July 2010 - Minprint will be the first Northern Irish printer to take delivery of Heidelberg’s highly automated TH 56 Stahlfolder.

The TH56 make ready time will be a vast improvement from the current machine allowing jobs to stored and re called from the memory. Make ready times could be more than halved. Adjustments and fine tuning can also be made on the run increasing up time and productivity.
Director Gary Davidson is making this investment as the company moves from collated to folded section work to feed a recently installed six-station Stitchmaster ST100 saddle-stitcher.
The Belfast company handles a wide range of direct mail and promotional material, and came to Ipex to review its equipment. Signing the folder deal has enabled them to take delivery this summer. It will run on a double day shift.
It will be fed by printed work from the Speedmaster CD 74-5P, the SM52-5P and two QM 46 portrait presses.
“With the Stahlfolder and Stitchmaster in place alongside two Polar guillotines, we will be able to claim we are a full front to back Heidelberg house,” says Mr Davidson.
