Rainbow to take delivery of the first two Polar 78X Plus guillotines

Monday 05. July 2010 - Welsh company Rainbow Print (Wales) is the first in the UK to order two Polar 78X Plus guillotines to replace two four year old models and to take advantage of the latest generation software and touch screen enhancements.

“The operator interface really helps the operator run the machine more efficiently. We live in an iPhone age where people enjoy working with touch screen technology,” says director Darren Roberts. “We have specified air tables to the right and left of the cutter which will make it easier to handle and shift piles and will increase productivity.”
The Polar X Plus as a standalone machine is capable of about 5-10% better output than a Polar X, estimates Polar’s joint managing director Michael Neugart.
For Rainbow the choice of Polar was clear-cut. The latest machines will be the seventh and eighth guillotine supplied to them by Heidelberg. They have found the equipment robust, the resale values are good and the staff have been trained and developed on Polar equipment. The directors of Rainbow Print (Wales) are Darren Roberts, Hayley Jones, Meryl Wilce and Leigh Rosser.
With a national client base the company is evolving its online service through its web site www.rainbowprintwales.co.uk
The company says that its policy of on-going investment allows it to attract and retain highly skilled staff who remain motivated and positioned to serve the customers with a range of colourful print products produced to ethical green standards.
