Escenic Community Engine 3.4.3 released

Monday 28. June 2010 - New release of the Escenic Community Engine features easy creation of avatars (user profile pictures) and improved XSS security.

Here we give you some of the highlights of the release. In addition to a number of bug fixes and other enhancements, the release contains:

Easy creation of avatars
Distribution includes both documentation and working example code (in deployable demo) on how to create avatars (user profile pictures).

Image representation URL now resolves the image correctly
When using pretty article URLs, the related image URLs were wrong. This has been fixed now.

SaveArticleAction correctly converts ampersand characters to HTML ampersand entities
Improved XSS security
The action handling user generated content (written content in this case), will remove HTML markup that can either manipulate the existing web page or lore the visiting web site user onto external pages.
