Women Wanted at Ipex 2010
Friday 14. May 2010 - Women in Print will launch at Ipex 2010 next week. It is a joint initiative between Heidelberg and the BPIF (British Printing Industries Federation) and the first meeting will take place at 4pm on Wednesday 19 May in Concourse Suite 21, adjacent to Hall 8.
Light refreshments will be provided and women who wish to come along should register now.
Vanessa Geerling, marketing coordinator at Heidelberg, who has taken a lead role in launching this event explains: “We hope that women in our industry will come along to grow their network, get inspiration and access to strong female role models. We will encourage women to share their own experiences and success stories working within the print media sector and provide input for future events and activities that could be facilitated via the network.”
Dawn Reid, BPIF south west regional director, adds: “We envisage this network establishing a forum for discussing industry issues and trends, working issues from mentoring and education through to career paths and achieving a life-work balance.”
Heidelbergs senior vice president global marketing Adriana Nuneva will give a short address on events held elsewhere in the world and the benefits of introducing the initiative in the UK.
