Shuttleworth Business Systems introduce their New Estimating Wizard at IPEX 2010

Wednesday 05. May 2010 - Visitors to IPEX will have much to educate and interest them on Shuttleworth Business Systems Stand (In Hall 9, Stand C364). The UK’s leading MIS provider will be demonstrating exciting new developments to their Estimating system incorporating a new wizard based tool to speed up the quoting process, plus a look at Supply Chain Manager which automatically requests, monitors and co-ordinates supplier quoting.

According to Paul Deane, Joint MD of Shuttleworth’s, “The launch of the new Estimating Wizard is the biggest thing to happen to The Shuttleworth System since the launch of the windows version at IPEX in 1998.”

The Estimating Wizard is a free upgrade to the Shuttleworth estimating module and is a major step forward over the traditional methods of estimating work. It simplifies the estimating process and speeds it up significantly.

The Wizard also includes an automated text functionality that adds text for all documents including the Quotation Letter and Works Order based on selections from the Wizard. In addition the estimating enhancements also support pre-defined price lists and price scales to meet the needs of all types of print operations. Multiple estimates and alternative options can all be included on one Quotation Letter or Tender document.

Paul added “We have extensively tested the new systems and one of our customers recently told us that they envisaged the new Estimating Wizard would reduce their general commercial estimating time by up to 75%”.

As well as providing the perfect showcase for Shuttleworth’s Estimating Wizard, IPEX 2010 will also see the launch of another new and innovative package, Supply Chain Manager.

Supply Chain Manager is the first ‘software as a service’ (SAAS) product on the print market. Hosted by Shuttleworth it requires no additional software or hardware by the user. Request for quote (RFQ) specifications are automatically loaded to the web site from The Shuttleworth System. Suppliers are emailed and they log in to the Supply Chain Manager and enter their prices, which are automatically fed back into customers system. The web site does all the chasing, taking the hassle and cost out of the whole process.

Plus Shuttleworth will show case at IPEX a huge new piece of development that is set to revolutionise MIS.

Paul Deane concluded ‘Shuttleworth is aiming to use the occasion to inspire various print and packaging companies by providing lots of new and potentially lucrative new MIS packages that they can use to help improve efficiencies and increase both their business and profitability. Come and see us at IPEX 2010 to see the future of MIS. You will not see it anywhere else!”
