Its time for a fresh look – Watkiss unveils new corporate identity
Wednesday 05. May 2010 - Watkiss Automation has announced the introduction of a new corporate identity, which will be implemented ahead of the Ipex 2010 exhibition in May.
The company’s former ‘WA’ logo has been in use, in varying forms, for over 25 years during which time there have been major changes in the industry, the company, its products and its customers. The new identity reflects these changes and the continuous evolution of a company that serves a wide customer base in the printing and graphic communications industry.
The new logo presents a fresh, modern look that is in keeping with the company’s forward thinking and innovative approach to the print finishing environment – which in the past 35 years has revolutionised the way people think about collating and booklet making. The Watkiss name is well known and highly respected in the industry, so the new logo features the name ‘Watkiss’ prominently, whilst retaining the company’s distinctive use of orange.
“With Ipex 2010 only a few weeks away, we are encouraging everybody to take a fresh look at Watkiss” says Sales Director Paul Attew, “Since the last Ipex in 2006, we have expanded into new markets, with new business partners, and we will be unveiling new products to improve quality, efficiency and productivity in the finishing department. “
“We believe in building long-term relationships with our customers and in understanding their needs – that’s how we can deliver so many breakthrough innovations” continues Attew “and we have invested heavily in both product design and our manufacturing facilities in recent years to ensure that we continue as an industry leader.”
Watkiss has long been a pioneer in the printing industry. It is a wholly family owned concern that has been designing and manufacturing innovative print finishing equipment in Sandy, Bedfordshire (UK) since 1974. In its 35 year history, the company has received numerous awards for business performance and product design, including the Queens Award for Export and the Design Council’s coveted British Design Award (twice).
The company serves the digital and offset print market through direct sales, a world-wide distribution channel and OEM partners. The principal product ranges include the Watkiss Vario and Watkiss DigiVAC Collating and Finishing Systems, the Watkiss BookMaster, Watkiss SpineMaster, and the Watkiss PowerSquare.
