Make an IMPRINT on the future
Monday 03. May 2010 - After a year and more of recession and cost cutting IPEX is a golden opportunity to look to the future. Everyone has done their bit to focus on cutting costs and whilst many of us will wish to continue being fairly cautious, we believe that this is the time to be pro-active about your future plans: as the economy recovers it could be your opportunity to get ahead of the competition and make an IMPRINT on the market.
Linda Tozer, Commercial Director of Imprint, reminds us that a good MIS system can be used not just to see where you can save costs
the other side of the coin is just as valuable – comprehensive reporting means that you have the means of identifying where you are succeeding most in the market, which jobs are best suited to your capacity and which customers and products are the most profitable.
For example, we all know that the benefits of adding a digital machine have been at the forefront of many printers thoughts, but how can you find out how much it would really benefit your business – well why not try before you buy. With Imprints automated eXpert Estimating you can make accurate comparisons by setting up a dummy digital machine of your choice on a trial basis to enable automatic calculation of estimates in tandem with your existing equipment without taking up any extra estimators time. You can actually find out where the breakpoint is between digital and litho. Imprint eXpert Estimating can operate on-line with the option of either returning a price directly to the customer or more realistically completing the workings and quotation letter but forwarding it to a sales director for price checking prior to emailing to the customer.
Imprint is looking forward to IPEX. There is not the surfeit of exhibitions competing against one another which we had in the past and a lively exhibition can really make an impact. A visitor was quoted as stating that after the last IPEX Show turnover had increased considerably: Imprint has had first hand experience of this in the past when a bumper year has been a direct result of IPEX for us and our customers.
