Finishing & Screen Printing

RIMA-SYSTEM at IPEX 2010 – Hall 19, Booth D791

Tuesday 20. April 2010 - With more than 10.000 installations worldwide, ranging from a single compensating stacker to complex, fully automated systems, RIMA-SYSTEM is today one of the leading suppliers of turnkey solutions for web offset printers.

With the integration of CIVIEMME-SYTEM vertical log stacking technology, RIMA-SYSTEM now supplies the most complete set-up of in-line finishing equipment on the market. The product line includes floor- and overhead conveying, trimming, lift stacking, log stacking and palletizing. In addition RIMA-SYSTEM offers a wide selection of modern software solutions like Job Ticket, PPMS, Zero-Make-Ready and Remote Maintenance.
Focusing on the improvement of Post Press productivity in existing and new installations, RIMA-SYSTEM makes a two-way approach on IPEX 2010:
For small and medium presses the economic entry stackers RS 24 and RS 34 will provide printers with a selection of reliable and easy-to-use stacking solutions at a very competitive price level. In its price segment the RS 34 is the only machine that offers lift technology in addition to modern features like laser counter, integrated stack compression and a servo pusher. Both machines are equally suited for heatset and coldset applications.
The vertical log stacker range will be supplemented by the new ST 2000 log stacker. The machine will be presented to the public for the first time during IPEX 2010! The ST2000 offers perfect log quality at a reduced level of automation, making it the ideal machine for emerging printing markets and smaller commercial and book printing presses.
Both the new RS 34 lift stacker and the ST 2000 will be on display at the RIMA-SYSTEM booth, the ST 2000 even making its first appearance worldwide.
For fully automated systems a refined PPMS-system which includes electrical make ready, data-exchange with production planning, real-time monitoring of the post press process and a summary of all production parameters like good and waste copies, up- and down -time, change over, production speeds etc. is available. And with the latest “Black Box” development, remote maintenance is getting easier and more convenient. Fast, highly secured access, new features like on-screen training and improved diagnostics make this an attractive investment for new systems and retrofit of existing ones.
Especially bookprinters with Zero-Make-Ready machines profit from the proven ZMR software for different presses available for both, vertical and horizontal log stackers from RIMA-SYSTEM and CIVIEMME-SYSTEM. The software supports the exchange of signals between log stacker and press resulting in:
– Exact production numbers,
– No machine stops during plate change,
– Minimum waste,
– No make-ready times after machine stops.
This leads to minimum total make-ready times and a very high grade of automation even with smallest print runs.
For more than 30 years RIMA-SYSTEM provides innovative & reliable Post Press systems for newspaper, commercial and book printers. The global network of RIMA-SYSTEM project centers with local engineers and technical support in combination with regional agencies guarantees a cost-effective and quick after-sales support.
The RIMA-SYSTEM group is a privately-owned company with around 200 employees worldwide. It has become the most important supplier for complete Post Press solutions including market leading technologies in log stacking, robotics and Post Press Management software. RIMA-SYSTEM is a rock solid company which has posted positive results for 2009, making it the most reliable & stable Post Press partner these days. On August 1, 2008, CIVIEMME-SYSTEM was integrated into the RIMA-SYSTEM group. All RIMA-SYSTEM project centers are now exclusively providing the vertical log stacking equipment of the former CIVIEMME S.p.A. as well as spare parts support for all installed CIVIEMME machines.
