Summit Print hits the peak with DGS.

Wednesday 31. March 2010 - Redhill based, Summit Print has installed a remarketed Heidelberg SM 52-2-PE press from dealer Day Graphic Systems to help alleviate pressure from its Ryobi 755 installed eighteen months ago.

“We’re seeing a positive improvement in business. We believe we’re on the right side of this so called recession, because we’ve recently found our old Ryobi 512 and GTOZ couldn’t keep up with the increasing work load. Our B2 press was jammed up doing simple work, so we decided to alter our shift pattern, trade out the old B3 presses and invest in something more automated” said Neil Parsons, managing director.
“We produce a lot of 2 colour work as well as one over one text and the SM 52-2PE gives us the flexibility, speed and automation we need so that the 755 can concentrate on longer multicolour work. The typical run lengths could be anything between a few hundred up to 250,000, but I guess the average is around 5,000.
Day Graphic Systems were recommended to us by several people in the industry. They’ve established a very good reputation and I genuinely felt confident dealing with them. I’d certainly go back to them again if I’m ever in the market.”
Chris Day, owner of DGS based in Farnborough who specialises in remarketing Heidelberg presses and other ancillary equipment said “Summit Print approached me for a specific type of machine and this was a particularly nice example with low impression count. My business is based on delivering what is promised and providing good service.”
