Standard Announces New Product Installations

Monday 01. March 2010 - Standard Finishing Systems announces the following new product installations:

Denver, Colorado-based i3logix recently installed a Standard Hunkeler Gen6
Roll-to-Stack system, running in-line with an Océ ColorStream 10000.
Featuring the UW6 unwinder, CS6 cutter, SE6 offset stacker module, and LS6
non-stop stacker, the solution produces up to 1,650 straight and fully
separated book blocks per hour. “The system accommodates a wide variety of
paper stocks, including very lightweight paper requirements with ease,
allowing us to produce book blocks for our customers on 10 lb. bond paper”,
says Steve Olsen, Executive Vice President of Operations at i3logix. “The
equipment offers continuous, non-stop production and delivers reliable,
high-quality stacks for super-efficient downstream processing.” Standard
Hunkeler’s Roll-to-Stack solution seamlessly integrates with Oce’s new
ColorStream 10000, making this unique combination the first in the U.S.

Horizon BQ-470PUR automated floor-model binder to their full-service book
bindery. The binders intelligent, icon-based color touchscreen provides
quick, easy and automated set-up, and allows for instant recall of regular
jobs from memory. “The 470 is a welcome addition to our operation,” said
owner Dan Walsh. “The PUR capability enables us to produce superior-quality
books up to 2.5″ thick, with fast changeovers for short runs.” Children’s
