Monday 09. November 2009 - Enhancing press performance for maximum efficiency and profit is the focus of a Heidelberg event being held at the National Showroom in Tamworth on Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 November. Printers are welcome to attend on either or both days, which run from 8.30am to 4pm with breakfast and lunch service.

George Clarke, managing director of Heidelberg, will host the event which he sees as an opportunity to present the broader picture of Heidelberg and introduce the people who have the ability, knowledge and services to enhance profitability in today’s businesses. Presentations will be made by: SG Finance on how to secure finance; Vision in Print on lean manufacturing and standardisation; and Gernot Keller, Heidelberg’s B1 product manager, on matching press configurations to your specific needs.

Mark Hogan, marketing manager at Heidelberg UK, says: “We have very important messages for participating printers at this event. Some of the issues tackled include how printers can get more out of their Management Information Systems (MIS), how they can harness ISO 12647 to the mutual benefit of themselves and their customers and how inks coatings and other pressroom chemicals can affect job costs. We have a fantastic line up of kit and of experts. It is the last showroom event of this year and falling just six months short of Ipex 2010 it is a must-see event for current and would-be high performers in the printing sector.”

Presses on show will include: a Speedmaster XL 105-10-P and an XL 75-5+L, both equipped with AutoPlate XL and Inpress Control spectrophotometry; an SM 74-5+L; and an SM 52-4+L Anicolor. These are bordered by Suprasetter CtP devices and comprehensive finishing equipment and linked together and to the MIS by a range of integrated Prinect workflow modules.

Each day consists of a high performance seminar at 9.30am, a tour to see some of the high performance concepts in action from 10.40am and demonstrations and technical or commercial discussions in the afternoon.
