TAPS Totally Automatic Pre-register Setting on 10-c RS 4003 gravure line printing on substrates including PE film, in demonstration at ROTOMEC Open House

Monday 12. October 2009 - From 16 through to 18 November 2009, visitors to the ROTOMEC Open House will be welcomed to view in close detail the functioning and operational benefits of TAPS the Total Automatic Pre-setting System fitted on the RS 4003 gravure printing press in demonstration in the Technology Center of ROTOMEC’s production facility in S. Giorgio Monferrato, Italy.

TAPS is ROTOMEC’s most recent development in ES technology and register control integration technology which successfully reduces waste in gravure printing to unprecedented levels at press make-ready and changeovers, for both new and repeat jobs. At a time when the ability to maximize the profitability of pressroom operations is of exceptional relevance, the availability of technical solutions able to reduce material waste and unproductive times is of crucial importance.

On this occasion, the unique performances of the TAPS system will be seen on a 10-color ROTOMEC RS 4003 gravure printing line. The RS 4003 is a highly efficient printing press and the most cost effective solution for medium to long production runs of high quality printed flexible packaging material. Printing substrates for the Open House demonstration also comprise PE film.

The Open House will also include viewing of an 11-color RS 4004X gravure press, ROTOMEC’s fully automatic press model, in a configuration with in-line lamination, and will provide visitors with the opportunity of discussing in details critical jobs and special requirements with the ROTOMEC engineers and process specialists who will be available during the event.
