Thursday 01. October 2009 - Closed loop paper recycling and the increasing scope of digital print technology will be themes highlighted by PaperCo at the Media Pro 09 Show, an exhibition for media and marketing professionals being held at Old Billingsgate on 4-5 November.

“Media and marketing professionals have a great impact on the choice of papers so it is important that we take this opportunity to set out our stall and show them just how valuable a business partner we can be,” says Veronica Heaven, Corporate Services Director.

“At PaperCo we not only offer one of the UK’s most diverse and extensive choice of print media products, but are at the cutting edge in our espousal of ethical and environmentally responsible delivery models.

“For example, our ‘Born again’ closed-loop paper recycling scheme, which we will be promoting at the show, enables printers and paper consumers to return their used and unused paper waste for re-processing back into recycled stocks ready for re-use. This scheme was recently used to good effect by the organisers of the Barclays Scottish open golf tournament to recycle their unsold programmes which had been printed on our 9lives 55 recycled coated paper.”

PaperCo’s flagship 9lives brand is a market leader, but it is only one of many recycled grades and FSC and PEFC certified stocks which the merchant will bring to Media Pro 09. Chain of custody grades today account for more than 80% of all the papers supplied by the company.

Visitors looking to add extra visual impact to their print media will be interested by PaperCo’s involvement and expertise in digital technology – and not just in the supply of digital media and consumables. On stand at Media Pro 09, PaperCo will demonstrate the recently launched Roland LEC 330 wide-format printer/cutter – a versatile UV inkjet system which can output a range of products including high end packaging proofs, labels and other short run applications.

PaperCo is a leading distributor of Roland systems and will have specialists on hand to put the LEC 330 through its paces, printing at resolutions of up to 1,440 x 1,440 dpi on such substrates as card stock, plastic board, polycarbonate and other non-metallic rigid materials.

“No marketing professional can ignore the creative and cost-effective opportunities that wide-format inkjet printing now offers and many, we know, are looking to extend their in-house services with this relatively low cost technology,” says Veronica Heaven. “We believe those ready to take the step will come to us because of our reliability and willingness to go the extra mile.”
