Cosmo Films/GBC Commercial combine forces to offer expanded line of laminating film
Friday 25. September 2009 - With Cosmo Films, Inc.s recent purchase of the GBC Commercial Print Finishing, they are expanding their product line and concentrating on the key markets of trade laminators and book manufacturers.
Expanded Film Offering
The Company has combined the comprehensive GBC Commercial film product line with Cosmo Films to offer a broad range of films for single and double-sided lamination of on-demand and commercial applications. The Company will offer GBC Commercials popular Lay-Flat nylon films, durable polyester films, a full range of vertically integrated polypropylene structures from Cosmo Films, and eco-friendly Enviro films. The Companys specialty films offering will include GBC Commercials Hi-Tac films for digital and high bond strength applications, the superior Scuff-Free nylon and polypropylene matte films from Cosmo Films, and their Tiger line of one mil value-oriented polypropylene, polyester and nylon films. Customers will be able to choose from over twenty films in various finishes, lengths and widths, along with gauges ranging from 1 to10 mil.
Key Markets
With a primary market focus on trade laminators and book manufactures, Cosmo Films looks to continue the development of customer-driven, application-specific films. For instance, the recent addition of Supreme Hi-Tac Film addresses customer demand for a polypropylene film suitable for finishing digital prints in on-demand environments. Customers are now choosing this film, available in gloss and matte finishes, to laminate soft book covers, photo books, postcards, and other applications run on digital presses.
