Xerox WorkCentre 7428 and WorkCentre 7435 receive award for best in class energy efficiency

Monday 21. September 2009 - BLI award recognises the outstanding energy efficiency of these new devices

Two of Xerox’s latest multifunction printers, the WorkCentre 7428 and WorkCentre 7435 have been honoured with an outstanding achievement award for their energy efficiency by Buyers Laboratory Inc. (BLI).

In tests, BLI found the devices to consume significantly less energy than all competitive devices in their respective test group. The tests revealed that the projected annual energy costs for both the WorkCentre 7435 and 7428 were by far the lowest, at 65.5 percent and 57.7 percent lower than the overall average of their respective groups.

“The tests also show that the Xerox models achieve their energy consumption advantages without sacrificing productivity.” said Joe Tischner, BLI Test Specialist. “In fact, both the WorkCentre 7435 and 7428 have a faster than average tested recovery time from idle, energy save and sleep modes.” All this means reduced running costs and impact on the environment.

The WorkCentre 7400 series which comprises three models, the WorkCentre 7425, WorkCentre 7428 and WorkCentre 7435 prints at up to 35 ppm in colour and black and white. The devices incorporate biomass plastic, which produces 16% fewer CO2 emissions during manufacture than traditional plastic, and enhanced HiQ LED technology, which delivers 1200x2400dpi image quality, better registration and smoother lines on images and text.

Compliant with Energy Star and Blue Angel standards the new Xerox WorkCentre 7400 series is the company’s most efficient and innovative range of office A3 colour multifunction systems to date. The WorkCentre 7400 series is designed for users in small to medium size businesses as well as the larger enterprise.
