TechInsights Sells European Business Press and Corresponding European Media Business
Friday 18. September 2009 - Acquisition Includes EE Times Europe and Microwave Engineering Europe
TechInsights, the daily source of essential business and technical information for the electronics industry’s decision-makers, today announced that the company has reached a final agreement for the sale of its Brussels-based publishing company, European Business Press SA, to Andre Rousselot. EBP will continue to publish EE Times Europe under license from United Business Media [UBM] as well as Microwave Engineering Europe and their associated web sites, EET.eu and mwee.com. The change in structure reflects the growth opportunities of each business and supports TechInsights’ continued evolution as a leading electronics information company.
The European embedded events, ESC UK and ESC Grenoble [France], which are part of the ESC franchise, will remain unaffected by the sale, as well as their affiliated print and online properties, and will continue to be managed by TechInsights.
“This new organization will allow EBP to concentrate on its core competence of English language pan-European business-to-business publishing in the electronics market and be more flexible in addressing the needs of its European readers,” commented Andre Rousselot, President, EBP. “Advertising customers will benefit from a more direct relationship with the publishing team and best in class products for accessing their customers and prospects all over Europe.”
“The move provides Andre with increased agility to run the business in that area of the world, as well as the freedom to increase focus on the European market,” stated Paul Miller, CEO of TechInsights. “The EE Times franchise continues to be the premier pan European and global news and analysis product providing world class content for those key influencers and decision makers involved in the definition, development, and commercialization of technology in the electronics industry.”
