Allen Datagraph rolls out The Fusion

Tuesday 15. September 2009 - A hybrid of digital and analog technology

Allen Datagraph Systems Inc has begun to roll out a new diecutting system, the i-Tech Fusion, for short and large run label converting. The Fusion is a hybrid of digital and analog technology using a state of the art registration system in coordination with a cylindrical die to ensure a precise cut at a continuous media ow of 50 feet per minute. The system utilizes a magnetic die cylinder that allows for a variable frame length of 2″ to 10″ and includes automatic lamination, stripping and slitting stations.
Its modular design opens up The Fusion to a number of customizations and modi cations, including UV coating and varnishing systems. Its automated SimPlex web guidance system makes setup easy and decreases lead and down times, as a trained operator is able to set up the machine in less than ten minutes. The pricing is also an attractive feature as it is a fraction of the cost of most high-end nishing systems. The Fusion premiered at this year’s Label Expo in Chicago and has quickly earned a reputation as an alternative investment solution for those entering the labeling arena, while o ering a modest price for veteran converters beginning to dabble in the increasingly lucrative medium to short run market.
