ISRA VISION introduces the PrintSTAR Inspection System. PrintSTAR is a 100% inspection solution that enables quality control and process control – all in one package. This system provides the printer with the tools to reduce waste from raw material to final product.
The ISRA PrintSTAR Inspection System utilizes special algorithms which detect defects particular to all processes – whether the process is rotogravure, flexography or offset. The system is able to work in dif-ferent formats – Roll to Roll, Roll to Sheet, Sheet to Sheet in small format all the way up to a wide format. The system offers the following inspection modules: MultiView, ColorWatch, PrintTrack and Quick-Proof plus the RewindManager.
MultiView provides the capability to inspect coatings, cold seal or hot foil. PrintSTAR enables the user to analyze live views simultaneously in real time. This includes double-sided inspections.
ColorWatch is an optional package that enables the operator to set up areas in the reference image to be monitored. Each area has its own trend graph which shows the color deviation in all print repeats. Alarm-ing levels can be defined.
PrintTrack provides the ability to output the measurements between two set points on the same image to provide accurate repeat or stretch data on the image. Alarm limits can be set.
QuickProof allows the operator to verify the printed image against the “Golden Reference”. The system will highlight any differences – allow-ing the user to accept or reject the printed material.
The Optional RewindManager automates the removal of waste in the Finishing Department. RewindManager interfaces with a synchro-nized database to allow the user to select which defects need to be removed at the slitter or doctor machines. The twin goals of waste re-duction and quality control can be guaranteed.
