JAMES M. KOTEK NAMED PRESIDENT AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF MENASHA CORPORATION
Wednesday 12. August 2009 - The Board of Directors of Menasha Corporation today announced the appointment of James M. Kotek to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer. Kotek, 49, has been President of ORBIS Corporation, the companys second largest operating division, since 2004. The promotion is effective immediately and Kotek will join the companys Board of Directors.
“Jim Koteks record of business achievements is an excellent match with the challenges and goals of Menasha Corporation,” said Chairman of the Board, Donald C. Shepard, in making the announcement. “He is a talented leader whose commitment to superior operational performance and creating value for customers is unequaled. Under Jims leadership, ORBIS Corporation has solidified its position as the leading reusable plastic packaging product and service provider in North America. Jim oversaw the two largest acquisitions in the Corporations history – LINPAC Group Limiteds North American material handling business in December 2006 and Norseman Plastics Holdings, Ltd. in October 2008. Both of these acquisitions helped diversify ORBIS product lines, strengthened innovative product design and development capabilities and enhance customer relationships.”
Kotek was one of three members appointed by the Menasha Corporation Board of Directors to an Executive Management Committee in May 2009, following the retirement of its president and CEO, Arthur W. Huge. The Committee members assumed general responsibility for the companys affairs. The other members were Michael K. Waite, President of Menasha Packaging, the Corporations largest operating division, and Thomas M. Rettler, the Corporations Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Menasha Corporation is also the parent company of Cortegra Group and LeveragePoint Media.
Kotek said, “I am honored to become Menasha Corporations president and CEO during a time in which the company has many opportunities to build on our hallmarks of operational excellence, innovation and exceptional customer care and service. Despite the difficult economic times we have faced recently, Menasha Corporations competitive position is stronger than it has been for many years. This is an exciting time in the Corporations history and I look forward to implementing strategies that will provide a platform for continued growth and value for all of our stakeholders.”
