CourseSmart Partners with Seven New Publishers to Expand eTextbook Offerings

CourseSmart LLC, the nation’s largest digital course materials supplier, today announced that it has partnered with Elsevier Science and Technology, F.A. Davis, Jones & Bartlett, SAGE, Sinauer Associates, Taylor & Francis and Wolters Kluwer Health (Lippincott Williams & Wilkins) to expand the breadth and specialty of its higher education eTextbooks available to students and instructors across the country. With the addition of these publishers, CourseSmart now offers more than 7,000 eTextbooks, representing most of the higher education textbooks on the market.
Elsevier Science and Technology, F.A. Davis, Jones & Bartlett, SAGE, Sinauer Associates, Taylor & Francis and Wolters Kluwer Health (Lippincott Williams & Wilkins) join CourseSmart’s already strong base of higher education publishers, which includes Pearson, Cengage Learning, McGraw-Hill Education, John Wiley & Sons, and the Bedford Freeman, Worth Publishing Group.

CourseSmart’s electronic textbooks are available at an average of 50% less than the print textbooks and enable students to access their textbooks from anywhere, at any time, without purchasing additional hardware or a dedicated reading device. Features like adding notes, highlighting and maintaining print page numbers replicate the important functionality of a print textbook while features like search, and copy/paste leverage the digital format to improve teaching and learning.
In addition to the cost savings and digital benefits students enjoy from CourseSmart’s eTextbooks, thousands of faculty members are currently using CourseSmart as a resource and evaluation tool, taking advantage of the time savings and digital efficiencies created by accessing and reviewing textbooks online. Elsevier Science and Technology, F.A. Davis, Jones & Bartlett, SAGE, Sinauer Associates, Taylor & Francis and Wolters Kluwer Health (Lippincott Williams & Wilkins) texts will be available to these faculty members to review as eTextbooks as well.
