Kawneer Announces New Hires That Bring Industry Expertise
Wednesday 22. July 2009 - Joyce Howard and Christopher Keller Join Kawneers Sales Team
Kawneer Company, Inc., the leading manufacturer of architectural aluminum building products and systems for commercial construction, announced today two new additions to its sales team: Joyce Howard and Christopher Keller. Both Howard and Keller specialize in architectural sales and held positions at Kawneer and its parent company, Alcoa, before transitioning to sales.
Howard has over 23 years of experience in the glazing industry, having worked for several glazing contractors from Wisconsin and Colorado to most recently, Oklahoma. She began her career at Kawneer in the estimating department in Springdale, Arkansas where she was a primary resource and help desk support for Kawneer KaluCAD estimating software. During this time, Howard traveled throughout North America to aid other Kawneer facilities in embracing the KaluCAD software. She then returned to the estimating department where she helped the Southwest sales team with bidding projects and maintaining customer contacts and relations. Howard now serves as the sales representative for the Dallas area where she is responsible for meeting with and assisting customers with their requirements for securing projects.
During his 14-year career with Alcoa, Keller served in a variety of roles including Senior Applications Engineer, Regional Account Manager and most recently, National Account Manager. Prior to joining Kawneer, Kellers responsibilities ranged from developing new products for customer-specific applications to regional sales for Alcoas extrusion and cold finished customers in the mid-Atlantic territory. He was also responsible for national sales for Alcoa Global Hard Alloy Extrusions. In 2005 Keller received the 2005 Sales Person of the Year award for Global Hard Alloy Extrusions. Duties of his new role in architectural sales for the New Jersey area include working closely with glazing contractors and architects to identify and meet their needs for specific applications.
