Dakota Systems and JustSystems Address Single Source Publishing at ACLEA Annual Meeting

Wednesday 22. July 2009 - Workshop Reveals What Publications Departments Can Do to Streamline Workflow Processes

Many publications departments have incorporated alternative delivery methods into their publications workflow. Now that they are producing items like CDs and online libraries, for example, they must streamline operations to incorporate these and other interactive tools into their publishing repertoire without creating duplicative work processes.

At the Association for Continuing Legal Education (ACLEA) Annual Meeting, Dakota Systems, a provider and manufacturer of high-purity, process critical systems, and JustSystems, the largest independent software vendor in Japan and a worldwide leader in XML and information management technologies, will lead a workshop that explains why single source publishing is a great method for publications departments looking to create automated, efficient workflow processes.

Publications teams save a tremendous amount of time by leveraging single source publishing because they only have to create content once. The content can then be reused throughout the organization in multiple formats — web, print, etc. Continuing Legal Education (CLE) professionals attending the workshop at the ACLEA event will:

Hear single source publishing defined
Learn how to conduct a needs and workflow assessment
Gain tips on how to devise a cost-effective implementation
Find out how to simplify authoring by leveraging single source publishing
