Ville Jaakonsalo appointed as Group Treasurer of Metsäliitto Group and Managing Director of Metsä Group Financial Services Oy

Monday 20. July 2009 - From 1 September 2009, Ville Jaakonsalo (age 38), LLM, MBA, will act as the new Group Treasurer of Metsäliitto Group and the Managing Director of Metsä Group Financial Services Oy.

He will report to Ilkka Pitkänen, CFO, Metsäliitto Group.

Jaakonsalo has acted as the Senior Vice President, Finance of Metsä-Botnia since 2005. Before that he worked for Metsä Finance where he was responsible for Metsäliitto Group’s long-term financing and finance law.

Jukka Forsström, the current Director of Group treasurer of Metsäliitto Group, will, for personal reasons, leave his post on 1 September 2009.
