INFOPRINT SOLUTIONS EMPOWERS EUROPEAN CHANNEL WITH NEW SOLUTIONS PARTNER INITIATIVES

Thursday 16. July 2009 - New Strategies Across Workgroup, Industrial and Production Print Markets in UK.

InfoPrint Solutions Company, a joint venture between IBM and Ricoh, today unveiled its new channel strategy for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The company is launching a number of initiatives including local Solutions Partner Days and steering committees as well as recruiting resellers to market its light production offerings.

InfoPrint channel steering committees will be set up for major markets with representatives from distributors, qualified resellers and VARs. They will determine local priorities and support for each territory while helping InfoPrint continue to enhance its communications with partners.

InfoPrint’s other channel initiatives include:

Education and training
Marketing support and lead generation activities such as telemarketing
Sales support with a focus on segment expertise, special bid pricing and sales tools
The launch of Solutions Partner Marketplace, a new InfoPrint Solutions partner web site
Regular channel updates via direct mail and e-mail newsletters
Theresa Lang, InfoPrint UK Managing Director commented, “Our Solutions Partners are an important part of our business and generate the majority of sales. We are investing in initiatives to create one of the industry’s most valuable and competitive networks, offering a solutions-based approach for the general office, as well as industrial and light production customers.”

InfoPrint is seeking high-value channel partners for its light production offerings including the InfoPrint Pro C900 cut-sheet printer and the InfoPrint 75 and InfoPrint 100, entry-level continuous forms solutions. Interested resellers would join a select group who develop and market output management solutions to commercial printers, service bureaus, IT departments and reprographics centres using InfoPrint’s technologies. InfoPrint offers webinars, training courses and assessment to help partners gain this certification.

Gill Hennessy, director at Moorgate Ltd, commented, “InfoPrint is our printing solutions partner of choice. It fits with our model of providing value-added service to our customers who look for business-critical printing solutions as opposed to just printers. Adding to this, nationwide maintenance coverage from the manufacturer, powerful document output management software and readily available supplies, we feel that by partnering with InfoPrint we can offer the total package.”

InfoPrint has a dedicated team offering a full complement of solutions customised for emerging markets, such as Russia, Turkey, Greece and Israel. In certain additional countries, InfoPrint works with Solutions Partners as its preferred route to market.
