Digicon Series 2 label converting line keeps pace with the new WS6000 digital press from HP-Indigo

Wednesday 08. July 2009 - AB Graphic International has announced that its close working relationship with HP-Indigo has culminated in an unprecedented range of finishing equipment for its Digicon Series 2 label converting system that compliment the new HP WS6000 digital press.

The Digicon Series 2 now has the option of larger repeat cylinders for its semi rotary die, varnish and hot foil blocking units and a new interface module is currently under development to run in line with the HP WS6000. In addition, a higher running speed of 60 m/min is now achievable for varnishing and die cutting optimising the versatility of the HP-Indigo press range.

Various label converting modules can be supplied to ramp up the specification of the basic machine. These include cold foiling, over laminating, super varnishing, rotary or guillotine sheeting and semi-rotary or flat bed hot foil blocking and embossing. Additional options include FleyeVision 100% print face camera inspection, hologram stamping, ink jet numbering, booklet insertion and SabreXtreme laser label cutting system. Semi-rotary and flat bed modules for screen printing are currently under development.

“Coupled with the tried and tested controls of previous models, these modules ensure fast set up with minimum waste and a low level of operator intervention,” commented Keith Montgomery, Business Development Manager. ” We work closely with HP-Indigo and its customers to develop both tailored and standard label converting solutions. We have supplied almost 400 Digicon systems and have over 15 years experience in the field.
