Xplor Expands EDP Certification
Tuesday 07. July 2009 - New Designation Designed to Provide an Entry-Level Introduction to Electronic Document Professional (EDP) Certification
Xplor International, the worldwide electronic document systems association, today announced the launch of the Electronic Document Associate (EDA) program. The new professional designation is designed to provide an entry-level introduction to Xplors well-respected and internationally known Electronic Document Professional (EDP) certification program.
Open to both Xplor members and non-members, the EDA designation can be achieved through an equivalent of 50 education credits earned from a combination of post-secondary education, certified continuing education and participation in industry events. Applicants must also have a minimum of 2 years of experience and be currently working in the electronic document industry. Upon acceptance, the applicant will be issued an EDA certificate, assigned an EDP mentor, be recognized on a roster found on the Xplor website, receive visibility in the associations publications and group recognition at the Xplor annual conference.
The new EDA certification is part of Xplors EDP certification program which has been an industry symbol for professional proficiency, experience and commitment since its inception in 1991. EDP professionals promote and enhance the industry through continuing individual education, knowledge sharing and mentoring others in the certification process. To date, over 500 EDPs have been certified worldwide, with numbers increasing every year.
