Sahar Sign Industries expands digital printing division with third HP Scitex XP5300 Printer
Monday 29. June 2009 - Company reinforces its market position as the only total solution provider for all types of signage and displays in Israel
HP today announced that Sahar Sign Industries, of Petah Tikva, Israel, has purchased another HP Scitex XP5300 Printer thereby raising its digital printer tally to 24, all of them from HP.
The company has been a leader in the field of sign making and display devices in Israel for the past 30 years. It also operates in the UK, Bulgaria and South Africa. Around ten years ago, Sahar responded to growing customer demand and with the purchase of its first Scitex Vision printer, established its digital printing division. This enabled Sahar to offer a convenient full solution under one roof.
Yaakov Mizrahi, owner and general manager, said, “We have a stable customer base because we maintain a strategy of continuous innovation. We were the first in Israel to introduce the UV HP Scitex XP5100 Printer and then more recently, the HP Scitex XP5300 Printer. In the past five years we have bought five new printers from HP.” Mizrahi explained, “Our variety of solutions and large number of printers enable us to respond to a diverse range of demand and to high volumes. We generally print about 50,000m2/month.”
The dual-mode UV HP Scitex XP5300 Printer images indoor and outdoor signage on roll-fed media up to five metres wide at industry-leading speeds of up to 300m2/hour. With its fast throughput, variety of inexpensive print media and unprecedented ink coverage features, the HP Scitex XP5300 Printer minimises printing costs.
These capabilities have enabled Sahar to provide a solution for an extensive, open-ended promotional campaign for the prominent large-format outdoor advertising company, Think Big, at their Tel Aviv facility. The campaign involves a changing display that covers seven different walls of a 17-storey building from top to bottom. The HP Scitex XP5300 Printer has enabled Sahar to effectively produce the large-format mesh prints at the required fortnightly to monthly frequency for the past three years so far.
