LaserSonic – The new Digital Printing Technology using standard Flexo / Gravure Printing Inks

LaserSonic®: Aurentum Printing Unit for Colors (I)

Friday 19. June 2009 - Highlights: - printing on different substrates,e.g. paper, polymer and metal foils - printing with well known standard inks - cost efficient especially for small print runs

AURENTUM’s LaserSonic is a new digital printing technology based on completely new, innovative processes. This digital printing technology is able to print with commercial liquid flexo and gravure printing ink on printing substances of any type, e.g. paper, foil, carton.
Hence, the high cost of the consumable materials (paper, color) of previous digital printing solutions are largely eliminated – at the same time increasing the flexibility of the printing systems.

The system is a roll/WEB system and can be integrated into a pre press environment via standard RIP. The further processing of the substrates in standardized working environments of roll/roll and roll/sheet without further conditioning of the printing substrates is possible.

All commercial papers (30-300 gram/m²) as well as foils of any type and structured papers can be printed. The printing format of our prototype ranges up to 520 mm, the paper size up to 600 mm. All colors as well as spot/special colors can be used such as gold, silver and white.
