SP Newsprint Announces It Will Idle Machine at Newberg, Oregon Mill

Thursday 11. June 2009 - SP Newsprint Co., LLC announced today that it will temporarily idle paper machine number five at its mill in Newberg, Oregon effective June 18, 2009.

Paper machine number five produces approximately 150,000 metric tons of newsprint annually. The mill will continue to operate its paper machine number six and will utilize 100% deink fiber to produce 100% recycled newsprint.
