Hahnemühle Gallerie Wrap – ingenious frame system for Fine Art prints

Tuesday 09. June 2009 - To date, those who wanted to present their prints on Fine Art canvas in perfect style had virtually no chance of doing so without relying on the work of a framing studio.

Now, however, Gallerie Wrap – the new stretcher frame by Hahnemühle – changes the situation. Gallerie Wrap offers photographers, artists or print-service providers the chance of mounting high-quality prints on a stretcher frame in just a few minutes. Even better: you don’t need special craftsman skills or tools. Thanks to the varying depth and length of the frame bars, Gallerie Wrap can be used for nearly every picture format.
The system consists of adhesive frame bars, reinforcement bars and corner positioning sets for the assembly. It takes just eight steps to present a print as framed work of art. Consequently, the laborious transport to a framing studio and the waiting are history. Gallerie Wrap is available in two versions, the main difference being the frame bar thickness.
‘Gallerie Wrap Standard’ is designed to be used for smaller formats. It provides frame bars with a depth of 2.9cm and a length range from 20.3 to 61cm. The different sizes of frame bars are available separately and can be combined for rectangle or square pictures.
‘Gallerie Wrap Professional’ features a strip depth of 4.5cm and is particularly suitable for bigger prints. The frame strips are available in six different lengths from 33 to 101.6cm. Several strips can be connected using connectors, consequently, the format is nearly unlimited. In the case of big pictures, centre bars on the reverse make for the necessary stability.
