University of New South Wales’ mail and print room ranked number one for value

Tuesday 02. June 2009 - Fuji Xerox Australia’s Global Services division facilities achieve improvements in print and mail services whilst driving cost efficiencies.

Within six months of its implementation, the combined University of New South Wales (UNSW) and Fuji Xerox managed ‘Print Post Plus’ (P3) at UNSW is breaking best value benchmarks and driving cost efficiencies.

According to Jenny Denman, Deputy Director Facilities Management, UNSW, the business success is testament to UNSW’s commitment to focus upon core competencies and its choice of an experienced print and mail facilities manager best able to offer efficiencies and service improvements.

“Fuji Xerox partnered with UNSW to provide high quality, competitive print and mail services to UNSW staff and students, with a focus on meeting robust environmental standards. The operation has delivered a significant cost reduction to UNSW through the closure of satellite printeries on campus and the business service improvements across mail and print are numerous. The rapid take-up from the UNSW community is testament to the success of the operation,” said Ms. Denman.

Fuji Xerox relocated UNSW’s geographically-dispersed print services into a new, environmentally refurbished space aligned to the 4 green star rating system creating an inclusive design, print and mail operation, resulting in reduced space requirements, improved service delivery and efficiencies.

“Working with UNSW, Fuji Xerox has provided a facilities management solution that delivers people, process and technology efficiencies.” said Mr. Andy Berry, General Manager, Fuji Xerox Global Services. “Our knowledge and experience in successfully delivering tailored managed solutions allow education providers to focus on their core offering: providing a life-long learning environment for students.”

The UNSW services for mail and printing include: onsite digital printing, offset printing, introduction of a print submission and workflow tool for use by all staff as well as professional binding services, full mail house services, courier services, delivery and collection of internal and external mail, and track and trace mail pickup and delivery. Within six months of implementation, P3 is successfully consolidating UNSW’s disparate print activity.
