Tuesday 26. May 2009 - At this year’s FESPA Digital Europe, Drytac will be proudly displaying their ‘Green’ product range, including the Eco-Friendly bamboo retractable Panda Stand and Panda L-Stand. Primarily constructed of bamboo, the Panda Stand range offers the world's first environmentally friendly retractable banner stands. The units are made from 90% renewable resources with a low impact agro-forestry product that offers a natural choice to the increasing "green orientation" of business.

FESPA visitors will be able to get a firsthand look at Drytac’s new generation of Liquid Coating Systems, including the launch of their new wide-format liquid laminator, the XL80. Drytac’s liquid laminators provide a finishing solution for virtually any printing application in the wide format, fine art/giclée, fleet marking, banner and on-demand printing or photography markets. These liquid coaters produce virtually no waste and therefore have less impact on the environment than traditional finishing solutions.

The brand new DES-4 Foam edging system will also be being launched at the show. This innovative machine eliminates the need to keep large stock of different colour boards, as it facilitates application of Drytac PVC and ABS edging on boards in a variety of colours, including red, blue, black and chrome. It also permits edging on boards of a thickness ranging from 5mm to 45mm and those of both a foam and solid core-centred display, such as Gatorfoam, Forex, MDF, Foamex & Chipboard and even 10mm foamcoare.

Also featuring this year, are Drytac’s environmentally aware range of overlaminating films. Firstly, the Interlam Eco, which is made up of a thin paper based release liner coated only on one side with a moisture barrier, facilitating disposal as well as recycling or decomposition of the release paper. Secondly, the new Interlam Pro, an innovative range that incorporates a VOC-free formula which is less harmful to the environment, welcoming a new generation of earth-friendly aqueous acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesives. And finally, the Interlam Biomatt, coated on one side with a pressure-sensitive, aqueous acrylic adhesive, and protected by a clear polyester film release liner which is fully bio-degradable after use, and so can be disposed of in the normal waste channels.

“I think most companies want to do what they can to minimize their footprint and be more green.” says Drytac President Marc Oosterhuis, “This is one thing that we can do to help people make better choices.”
