HP today announced that Xtreme-dpi, based in Haifa, Israel, has purchased one of Israel’s first HP Scitex XP5100 Printers in order to drive its new super-wide format advertising business.

The company entered the market less than a year ago to provide the highest possible quality in service and materials to the very demanding advertising agencies and media owners who form its customer base. Xtreme-dpi specialises in super-wide digital printing projects and its strength is in producing banners larger than 100m2 for clients in the fashion, real estate, automotive, food and beverage, entertainment and educational market segments. The company prints on a large variety of substrates. The super-size jobs are mainly printed on mesh and PVC. The HP Scitex XP5100 Printer was chosen for its 5m print width, and its media versatility, quality and speed.

“As a newcomer to the market, we are determined to offer competitive pricing while meeting the very high expectations of our customers,” said David Aloni, owner and general manager, Xtreme-dpi. “We consider the XP5100 Printer to be the flagship of HP Scitex printers, the industry reference for design, reliability, and production capability. It is built for industrial production. At 100m2, you get high quality for both indoor and outdoor, with very little downtime.”

The HP Scitex XP5100 Printer combines the performance of traditional wide format printers with the flexibility of today’s UV-curable ink printers. This allows Xtreme-dpi to quickly scale up its business by offering fast turnaround and impeccable quality on a range of media. The eight-colour printing mode doubles the grey levels, offering much richer colours and smoother transitions. As a result, Xtreme-dpi is also sought out by art galleries and museums for their particularly exacting quality requirements.

Equipped with a range of innovative items, the company has recently brought all finishing in house. This allows Xtreme-dpi to fully control all aspects of production and provide a full service to its customers.

“Our goal is always to add value and to be responsive to the market,” Aloni continued. “We intend to continue to add market share by expanding throughout the region and throughout the country. We are very satisfied with HP support and service; they have done a great job with all calls and follow-up. We look forward to business growth with new HP products.”
