Epson Announces Executive Personnel Changes

Thursday 30. April 2009 - Seiko Epson Corporation ("Epson," TSE: 6724) today proposed the following executive changes at a meeting of its board of directors. The changes are subject to approval at the company's annual general meeting and board meeting scheduled to be held on June 24, 2009.

1. Executive personnel changes

(1) Retirement of director
Managing director: Hiroshi Komatsu
Komatsu is scheduled to be appointed as a managing executive officer on the same date
(2) Nominations for director
Managing director: Torao Yajima
(Presently managing executive officer, Seiko Epson Corporation, and president, Tohoku Epson Corporation)
Yajima plans to retire from his position of president, Tohoku Epson Corporation, on June 1.
Director: Tadaaki Hagata
(Presently executive officer, Seiko Epson Corporation)
2. Planned date of appointments

June 24, 2009
