STARLEATON SET TO CLIMB FURTHER WITH ANAPURNA AND AGFA

Agfa Graphics and Starleaton Digital Solutions (SDS) have inked a new partnership agreement that will see SDS distributing Agfa's Anapurna range of commercial UV flatbed/roll-to-roll inkjet print printers and consumables throughout Australia.

Tuesday 24. March 2009 - Agfa Graphics and Starleaton Digital Solutions (SDS) have inked a new partnership agreement that will see SDS distributing Agfa's Anapurna range of commercial UV flatbed/roll-to-roll inkjet print printers and consumables throughout Australia.

“This is a major step for Starleaton,” says director Gary Smith, “Agfa’s Anapurna family puts us in the UV flatbed/roll market for the first time with six of the best UV printers and inks currently available. We are both delighted and honoured to have been chosen by Agfa Graphics and we are confident our customers will see that the combination of SDS with Agfa’s excellent technical support will represent the best way forward for those entering, or already in, the growing UV flatbed and roll wide-format sector.”

Smith continues: “We did not take this step lightly. As with all of our products, we like to offer the best-of-breed and in the Agfa Anapurna family, we found solutions for every level of signage, decor and display printing. The Anapurna family offers from four to an eight printhead configuration; output up to 2.54 x 3.0 metres; production speeds up to 44 m² per hour and, on the new Anapurna XLS, stunning photographic-quality resolution of 1440 x 720 dpi with an 8 picoliter droplet size. Agfa has developed Anapurna UV-curing inks that have an extremely wide colour gamut, excellent jetting behaviour and outdoor stability for two to three years without lamination. We are proud to offer such quality on both rigid and flexible media.”

Starleaton will begin marketing Agfa’s Anapurna family from March onwards and the Anapurna M4F will feature prominently on SDS’s large Pacprint booth number P10.

“With the Government 30% capital investment allowance running until June 30th, there has never been a better time to upgrade to an Agfa Anapurna from SDS. We promise customers will be very pleasantly surprised!” concludes Smith.

Agfa’s Business Manager for Inkjet, Steve Taylor, was enthusiastic about the new relationship with SDS. “Our decision to focus exclusively on UV curable technology has paid off, and now we are turning our attention to a best in class distribution network, in this regard Starleaton tick all the boxes and we look forward to working with them at PacPrint 09 and beyond”.
