Goss Magnum 4 press success in Sweden

Two new Goss Magnum 4 presses went on production in Sweden in late 2008.

Wednesday 11. March 2009 - Two new Goss Magnum 4 web offset presses, each with eight four-high towers totalling 64 units, went into production in Sweden in late 2008. Both presses were chosen to replace existing presses from other suppliers.

Norra Västerbotten Tidnings AB

Newspaper publisher Norra Västerbotten started its press in October at a new facility in the outskirts of Skellefteå, northern Sweden. The 560 mm cut-off Magnum 4 press is configured with eight four-high towers, an N40 jaw folder with quarterfold capabilities and a balloon former.

Tryck i Norbotten

The press at Tryck i Norbotten’s Luleå facility went into production in December. The newspaper publisher and printer’s new press features eight four-high towers, a 1:3:3 jaw folder from the Goss Universal press series and the first installation worldwide of a new generation shaftless high-speed quarterfolder. The Magnum 4 press at Tryck i Norbotten is capable of 45,000 cph and has the capacity to deliver up to 64 tabloid pages in three variable size stitched sections.
