KERN CONSOLIDATES ITS PRESENCE IN THE WORLD OF THE DIGITAL PRINTING AND GRAPHIC APPLICATIONS

Monday 02. March 2009 - The Finishing of the products of the digital printing process is an important part of the entire production.

Kern introduces some systems containing in every component the most modernized technological solutions developed for the applications of automation of industrial processes.
During Grafitalia Kern will show a wrapping system K40-15 connected to a feeding module working in continuous module.
The wrapping systems of the series Kern K40 have their main applications in the fields of the publishing and the printing. The exposed configuration is based on the mod. K40-15 M, which is the fastest (15,000 pieces/h) and employs the innovative mobile feeders, that allow the maximum modularity and flexibility of the system, connected in input to a feeding system working in continuous module, traditionally used in the inserters. The great benefit of this configuration is due to the possibility to move easily the feeders to approach the changes of the productive requirements.
A second exposed wrapping system will be the mod. K40-1, the entry-level model of the series, completely redesigned in order to increase the productivity, and in the same time to reduce the price.
Additional systems dedicated to the Finishing will be introduced: actually we can anticipate that probably will be shown the system Kern SmartBinder, which proposes an innovative way to produce books and booklets, in addition to the traditional technologies, where for the realization of the signatures they use the conventional saddle stitching or wire staples systems. The system Kern SmartBinder uses a system based on the ISG technology (Individual Sheet Gluing), employing a cold glue, obtaining a reliable, economic product, with a high level of aesthetic quality.
This system, that is placed downstream of a digital printer (roll or single sheet) and can feed an on- line or off-line stitching and covering machine, will be exposed in Grafitalia, if will be available the new model, currently in phase of development.
