Screen Trueflow SE Ver. 6.0 Improves Printing Efficiency and Profitability

Thursday 26. February 2009 - Workflow demonstrations in the Screen (USA) booth at this year's Graphics of the Americas show will focus on the newest version of Trueflow SE, Screen's highly automated PDF- and JDF-based workflow solution.

“Adding production-enhancing capabilities with each new generation of Trueflow SE while making the workflow application easier for operators to use reflects Screen’s commitment to print service providers,” said Mike Fox, president of Screen (USA). “Graphics of the Americas offers a wonderful opportunity to show printing companies, large and small, how the newest version of Trueflow SE can further improve their efficiency and profitability.”

Featuring Adobe PDF Print Engine, Trueflow SE Ver. 6.0 is exceptionally user-friendly. It is invaluable for printing environments where print production involves multiple devices, including digital print-on-demand equipment. In these hybrid offset/digital printing environments, Trueflow SE Ver. 6.0 integrates and automates the handling of incoming jobs, prepress production, proofing and output to CTP devices, color proofing systems and digital printing presses.

A print-on-demand option allows PDF job submission to the Screen Truepress 344 direct imaging press and other digital presses via the Trueflow hot folder workflow.

In addition to standard file checking, OPI support, trapping, imposition and other prepress functions, Trueflow SE Ver. 6.0 includes these key software features:

OutlinePDF-Advance: This reliable PDF-exchange format secures overall output results, especially in cases where data will be shared among multiple locations or various output devices.
Digital page inspection: Operators can check for editing errors and color specification problems before the data is imposed.
Versioning: Versioning can be carried out with multiple PDF files or a single layered PDF file. This is a fast and efficient way to produce manuals with multiple language versions or regional advertisements.
Ability to directly export a JDF file into a Trueflow hot folder, eliminating the need to manually drag and drop the JDF file via the Trueflow user interface.
JDF imposition template support in job recorder workflow.
Front and back imposition overlay viewing.
Screen (USA) will demonstrate the advanced functionality of Trueflow SE Ver. 6.0 in booth #1586 at Graphics of the Americas 2009, February 26-28 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
