UPM DIGI papers – digitally yours

The UPM DIGI range is the widest range of digital printing papers currently available on the market, including both coated and uncoated fine grades, as well as magazine and newsprint papers for digital printing processes.

Wednesday 25. February 2009 - The UPM DIGI range is the widest range of digital printing papers currently available on the market, including both coated and uncoated fine grades, as well as magazine and newsprint papers for digital printing processes.

End users can select from a variety of surface finishes (gloss, silk and matt) and from a wide spectrum of basis weights, ranging from 40 to 350 g/m². The UPM DIGI range is designed for the most versatile digital end user sectors, such as personalised direct mail, high quality advertising materials, transactional documents, books and newspapers, catalogues or magazines.

The range offers paper qualities for all of the common digital printing systems based on electro photography or ink-jet technology, for mono and colour, and various sizes such as cut sizes, folio sheets, Xeikon reels and reels with large diameters for digital web printing.

EU Eco-label awarded DIGI papers

Most of the UPM DIGI range has been awarded an EU Eco-label certificate. The EU Eco-label takes into consideration the environmental impact of paper during its entire lifecycle. In addition to ensuring that the raw material has been sourced in a responsible way, the EU Eco-label also guarantees that the chemicals, energy consumption, production emissions and waste treatment fulfil strict environmental requirements.

“The EU Eco-label is a proof of a product’s good overall environmental performance and thus low environmental impact. With the EU Eco-label, we want to demonstrate that our papers meet comprehensive criteria and are environmentally sound,” underlines Mikko Mensonen, UPM’s Product Manager for office, postal and digital papers.

Supported by the European Commission and all EU member states the Eco-label offers guidance to consumers and purchasers, who wish to purchase products with superior environmental performance. The flower logo on the end product tells the consumer that the paper used is greener and, therefore, makes it easier to decide which product to purchase
