Print Jobs With a Delivery Guarantee

Tuesday 24. February 2009 - The new .print Queue Manager 7.0 with new features can also be used with Windows Server 2008

The print optimization expert ThinPrint now offers an improved version of its .print Queue Manager solution. In addition to its chief function of reliably delivering print jobs, the new version can now also be used with Windows Server 2008 and guarantees the print jobs are processed in the desired sequence.

Particularly in companies with branch offices, print jobs are lost again and again through line disruptions, paper jams, or switched-off printers, especially when most print jobs are automatically deleted after a few unsuccessful delivery attempts. The .print Queue Manager from the print optimization expert ThinPrint eliminates this problem. The solution ensures that no print job is lost – regardless of the problem’s cause. The number of delivery attempts, the time between attempts, and the time at which the print job should be deleted can be individually set. In the new Version 7.0, the software also ensures that the print jobs are printed out in the desired sequence even if the connection is disrupted. The newly released version can be used on Windows Servers and Windows Servers x64. The print optimization solution .print Engine Version 7.0 or higher is required to use the Queue Manager.

The Queue Manager is available in two versions, which can be used on either application or print servers.

“For a variety of companies, losing print jobs is a catastrophe for purely legal reasons because they are only allowed to print a document one time. Here, as in many other cases, the Queue Manager provides the necessary reliability,” says Charlotte Kunzell, Senior Vice President at ThinPrint. “The Queue Manager is a sensible addition for companies with branch offices.”

The solution is available from more than 500 resellers and distributors worldwide.
