Tuesday 24. February 2009 - MyPhotoAlbum Inc. 'MyPhotoAlbum', a premium online photo services company, today announced that it has acquired the assets of dotPhoto.com 'dotPhoto' from Exclaim Inc., a New Jersey based wireless service operator.

dotPhoto was created in 1999 and provides online photo finishing and sharing services to professional photographers and photo consumer enthusiasts. It has been ranked the #1 photo sharing service by Top Ten Reviews for four consecutive years, 2006 through 2009. The reviewer commented, ‘The only way to better experience a special event than through the ‘dotPhoto Show’, complete with photos, music and narration, is being there.’ dotPhoto offers a wide range of services designed for professional photographers and serious photo hobbyists, providing the ability to promote their photography and earn revenue through the sale of prints, photo merchandise and the highest quality photo books in the market.

MyPhotoAlbum and dotPhoto together will archive over 200 million photos, videos and slideshows on behalf of its customer base, attracting one million monthly visitors to its websites. The combined businesses will rank as one of the largest independent online photo services. The acquisition of dotPhoto will enable MyPhotoAlbum to develop more rapidly, build new revenue streams on dotPhoto’s existing customer base and share technical and other resources. Glenn Paul, dotPhoto’s founder and President, and Brad Murray, its Chief Technology Officer, will join the MyPhotoAlbum team to grow the combined business and seek further acquisitions.

Peter Macnee, CEO of MyPhotoAlbum said, ‘We are excited to gain the industry expertise of the dotPhoto leadership team and their significant digital print and photo gift volume. We feel that this transaction will be the catalyst for follow-on acquisitions while forging our entrance into the professional photography market. We are now actively looking for further acquisitions of online photo sharing businesses and related online photography web sites¨.

Glenn Paul commented, ‘This is an exciting new stage in the evolution of the business I founded in 1999. Together we will be well positioned to expand our consumer marketing power while further expanding into the professional photo market’.
