Full-scale success for international road shows
Tuesday 24. February 2009 - Large international public expected to attend Grafitalia and Converflex
Pre-registrations reach the 18.000 notch; the “cosmic event” at FieraMilano will combine the printing and converting exhibitions with IPACK-IMA
Two months from the official opening of the “cosmic event” pre-registrations are already up to 18000. Grafitalia and Converflex will be hosted at FieraMilano (March 24th – 28th) in conjunction with IPACK-IMA, the reference exhibition for processing, packaging and material handling. Plast (rubber and plastics) will also be staged in the same dates.
Organizers great expectations are met by the strong interest raised during the international road shows, one of the promotional tools employed by Grafitalia and Converflex, which have been organized in co-operation with ICE – Italian Trade Commission. The most recent stops have been Casablanca (Morocco), Dubai (UAE) and Moscow, during Upak Italia.
The Italian printing and paper converting exhibitions (as of January 25th, over 600 exhibitors booked their stand, 40% coming from international markets) generated great interest in the UAE, for the first time included in the countries targeted by the promotional campaign. More than 40 buyers participated in the presentation. FieraMilano is very appreciated as an exhibition venue and the cosmic event format is considered a positive factor in that it offers a wider overview of an unparalleled technology mix. This last series of road shows emphasized the high potential of areas such as the Persian Gulf and the Mediterranean Basin.
Overall, about 650 industry professionals have been involved in the international road shows, with stops in North African and Eastern European countries such as Turkey, Tunisia, Egypt, Bulgaria, Serbia and Kiev (Ukraine).
“The outcome of these international presentations and the number of stand bookings allow for high expectations on Grafitalia and Converflex – says Centrexpo SpA CEO Guido Corbella -. We know we are offering our visitors a high-quality, forward-looking product. Technology continuously produces innovations, especially in the digital segment, opening up extremely interesting opportunities for the printing industry, connected with new business models based on the development of new communication means. The growing presence of technology suppliers at Grafitalia and Converflex – says Mr. Corbella – shows the unfailing role of exhibitions as catalysts of innovation and discussion, especially in this day of great evolution and technological transition”.
