Monday 23. February 2009 - Epson is proud to be a platinum sponsor of FESPA Digital 2009, the leading European trade show for the screen and signage industry. At this event Epson will be showcasing its award-winning Micro Piezo digital inkjet printing technology which has been developed to deliver high-quality, durable prints for the signage, decorative art and interior design markets.

Joining Epson on the booth will be five strategic industry partners who will demonstrate Epson’s innovative technology in digital inkjet printing across a wide range of vertical market applications. Blanc Canvas, Caldera, ColorGATE, EFI and Ergosoft, will be producing traditional signage through to specialist display products such as wallpaper, lenticular POS and printed textiles:
– Blanc Canvas will use the Epson Gemini 4 and the Epson Stylus Pro 7880 to show a retail canvas solution, and produce wallpaper and print on to metal using an Epson Stylus Pro 7990.
– Caldera will demonstrate the Epson Stylus Pro GS6000 to produce lenticular POS and interior textiles.
– ColorGATE will produce high-quality wallpaper using the Epson Stylus Pro GS6000 and the Epson Stylus Pro 11880 to show a CFT screen demonstration.
– EFI will use the Epson Stylus Pro GS6000 to produce high-quality backlit film displays and proofing solutions using a Stylus Pro 4880.
– ErgoSoft will also use the Epson Stylus Pro GS6000 to produce high-end fabrics for interior design applications and the Epson Stylus Pro 7900 to show a textile proofing solution.

One of the main products on the Epson stand, demonstrating a number of different applications, will be the Epson Stylus Pro GS6000, a 64in wide format printer which uses Epson UltraChrome? GS Ink, a new revolutionary eco-solvent type ink. Enabling operators to switch easily between a range of different coated and non-coated substrates makes the Epson Stylus GS6000 an ideal, flexible production solution for multiple commercial applications. Integral to the quality and durability of print output is the new Epson UltraChrome GS Ink, an 8-colour eco-solvent type ink set (C,M,Y,K,LC,LM,+ O,G) available in efficient 950 ml cartridges. It has an exceptionally wide colour palette which provides enhanced support for commonly used spot colours, making the Stylus Pro GS6000 ideal for branded applications. Important for both the environment and operators, Epson UltraChrome GS Ink doesn’t spread harmful VOCs (volatile organic compound) and is the first major eco-solvent type ink set to be launched without the need for a hazard symbol.

Claes Jeppsson, Senior Business Manager, LFP and LFP Solutions, Epson Europe said, “We are proud to be a platinum sponsor of FESPA Digital 2009.
