With the launch of the 5 m roll-to-roll UV printer Virtu RR50, WP Digital is opening up whole new possibilities in digital printing. At the In-House Show on February 26th and 27th, the company will present the new printer for the first time to customers and other interested parties.

At the In-House Show on February 26th and 27th, the company will present the new printer for the first time to customers and other interested parties.

In spring 2008, WP Digital showed some interested parties and customers its vision: A new digital UV gross format printer was expected to print flexible substrates up to a width of 5 meters. Just a year later, this vision became a reality: WP Digital presents Virtu RR50 – a digital UV large format printer which prints a very large range of flexible substrates up to a width of 5 meters and in any length. Unique positioning precision due to a special coating technique, high printing speed, processing of rolls up to 750 kg in weight, easy integration into logistics processes due to a sophisticated roll handling concept – these are just a few of the characteristics which make the Virtu RR50 so appealing as an efficient production machine.

The Diverse Nature of the Substrates
With Virtu RR50, unimaginable possibilities open up in new dimensions. With the printing width of 5 meters, new application areas can be tapped – in interior and exterior advertising or for the design of facades and interior spaces. Whether textiles, mesh, vinyl, adhesive films or PVC tarps – Virtu RR50 will provide top-in-class printing quality in the most cost effective way. WP Digital continuously expands the spectrum of printable substrates and works closely with the manufacturers.

On February 26th and 27th, WP Digital will show the new UV large format printer for the first time to specialists in the field at an In-House Show at Wittenbach/Switzerland. Live demonstrations will show the speed and the precision of the roll-to-roll printer. WP Digital will also present visitors with current innovations for all substrates: Manufacturers show their newest innovations in sheet and roll materials which can be processed on site on the large format printers. In addition to the new product, the tried-and-true UV large format printers Virtu RS25 with a feed system and Virtu RS35 as well as the new 5 m cutting machine XXL 50 by Fotoba and the AquaSeal 80 UV Coater will be presented.
