Wilen Media Makes Two Executive Appointments

Wednesday 28. January 2009 - Names Rich Meschi Account Director and Sam Prasad, Ph.D. Director of Technology

Wilen Media, an innovative national leader in full-service consumer marketing, today announced the appointment of two new directors, naming Rich Meschi Account Director and Sam Prasad, Ph.D. Director of Technology.

The appointments are effective immediately. Mr. Meschi reports to Paul Caravello, Senior Vice President, Sales, Wilen Media, and Dr. Prasad reports to Darrin Wilen, President of Wilen Media.

Mr. Meschi is a veteran agency executive with experience on Fortune 500 accounts, while Dr. Prasad is a successful technology executive who has worked with many companies in China, India, Europe and the U.S.

And Sam’s extensive background in strategic information technology initiatives and comprehensive business acumen brings significant perspective, insight and opportunity to our company’s IT and operational sectors.”

In his new position, Mr. Meschi will be tasked with increasing the value of existing accounts and also devise strategies for new business initiatives.

Prior to joining Wilen Media, Mr. Meschi was Account Supervisor at Dircks Associates where he leveraged online tactics for the management of brands such as Vonage, PayPal and AOL. He also represented more traditional direct marketing clients such as Charter Communications, AARP, Sallie Mae and Guthy Renker.

As Wilen’s new Director of Technology, Dr. Sam Prasad oversees Wilen’s information technology group, providing the company with key leadership and strategic alignment of business and technology initiatives, infrastructure and operations.

Before that he was Vice President of Engineering at Intel Software Systems where he directed the research and development of near-field-communication technologies in mobile devices using bar-codes and RFID based on the ISO-14443 standards that would allow consumers to use mobile phones in lieu of cash, credit and debit cards to initiate payments at point-of-sale terminals.
