Goldbach Media records double-digit sales growth again in 2008

Tuesday 20. January 2009 - A 12% net sales increase to CHF 265 million -online sector is growing with 47% disproportionally - share of net sales from Internet advertising already at 30% - successful expansion of Eastern European business.

The provisional annual financial statement for Goldbach Media, the leading advertising marketer for private electronic, interactive and mobile media in Switzerland and Austria, active with search machines and performance marketing in Germany and the top online advertising marketer in Eastern Europe and the Eastern Adriatic region, has recorded a 11.6% increase in net sales to CHF 264.6 million.

In the online division, the advertising logistics expert recorded a remarkable 46.9% increase in net sales with the online marketing companies acquired in Eastern Europe in the business year. In the offline division, the marketing of television and radio advertising and adscreen, Goldbach generated 1.1 % more net sales in 2008. For the first time, Goldbach Media generated over 30% of its net sales with its over-proportionally growing online business, which is the marketing of advertising on the Internet and other mobile and interactive media.

The audited net sales and EBIT figures will be published on 5 March 2009.
